To make visiting our website attractive and to enable certain functions, we use cookies—small text files that are placed on your device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after closing the browser (so-called "session cookies"), while others remain on your device longer and enable the storage of site settings (so-called "persistent cookies"). In the latter case, you can find the storage duration in the overview of your browser's cookie settings.

If personal data is also processed by individual cookies we use, the processing is carried out either pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR for the performance of a contract, pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR in the event of consent, or pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website as well as a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.

Please note that if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

5) Contacting us

When you contact us (e.g. by contact form or email), personal data is processed solely for the purpose of handling and responding to your request and only to the extent necessary for this purpose.

The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If your contact aims to conclude a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter concerned has been conclusively clarified and provided that no statutory retention obligations oppose such deletion.

6) Data processing when opening a customer account

Pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, personal data will continue to be collected and processed to the necessary extent if you provide it to us when opening a customer account. The data required for opening an account can be found in the input mask of the relevant form on our website.

You can delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the above-mentioned address of the controller. After deletion of your customer account, your data will be deleted provided all contracts concluded through it have been fully processed, no legal retention obligations stand in the way, and we have no legitimate interest in further storage.

7) Use of customer data for direct advertising

Cart abandonment reminders via email

If you abandon your purchase with us before completing the order, you may be reminded of the pending purchase by email.

The only mandatory information for sending these reminders is your email address. Any additional data is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to ensure that you only receive a notification after you have expressly confirmed your consent by clicking a verification link sent to the email address provided.

By activating the confirmation link, you grant us your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR to use your personal data for sending cart abandonment reminders. In doing so, we store the IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. The data collected by us when you register for our email notification service is used strictly for the intended purpose.

You can unsubscribe from these reminders at any time by sending a message to the controller mentioned above. After unsubscribing, your email address will be promptly deleted from our distribution list unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

8) Data processing for contract fulfilment

8.1 To process the contract, we collaborate with the service provider(s) listed below who support us in whole or in part in executing concluded contracts. Certain personal data will be transmitted to these service providers as set out below.

8.2 Use of payment service providers (payment services)

Stripe
One or more online payment methods from the following provider are available on this website: Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland

If you choose a payment method offered by the provider where you pay in advance (e.g. credit card payment), your payment data (including name, address, bank and card information, currency and transaction number) as well as information about your order content will be passed on to the provider pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Your data will be forwarded solely for the purpose of payment processing and only to the extent necessary.

If you select a payment method for which the provider pays in advance (e.g. invoice or instalment purchase or direct debit), you will also be asked during the ordering process to provide certain personal data (first and last name, street, house number, postcode, city, date of birth, email address, telephone number, and, if applicable, data on an alternative means of payment).

To safeguard our legitimate interest in determining our customers' solvency, we forward this data to the provider pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for the purpose of a credit check. The provider uses the personal data you provide, together with other data (such as basket contents, invoice amount, order history, payment experience), to assess whether the selected payment option can be granted with regard to payment and/or default risks.

The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedure. Among other things, but not exclusively, address data is included in the calculation of the score values.

You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to us or to the provider. However, the provider may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

8.3 Electronic cancellation option for continuing obligations with consumers

Consumers who have entered into contracts for paid continuing obligations (e.g. subscription contracts) on this website have the option of cancelling them via an electronic button in accordance with the applicable notice periods.

Clicking the button leads to a confirmation page on which the consumer can provide further information on the cancellation, clearly identify themselves and then declare the cancellation electronically.

The collection of personal data and its transmission to us takes place pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR and only to the extent necessary for the proper processing of the cancellation. Also based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, the personal data provided is used to confirm receipt of the cancellation and the cancellation date electronically in text form. Another legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. We are legally obliged to offer an electronic cancellation option for consumer contracts for paid continuing obligations concluded electronically.

8.4 RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat, Inc., 1032 E El Camino Real #581, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, USA, for subscription management.

RevenueCat processes purchase histories and anonymised user IDs to validate subscription status.

9) Web analytics services

Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

By default, Google (Universal) Analytics sets cookies when you visit the site. These are small text modules stored on your device that collect certain information. This information also includes your IP address, which is truncated by Google by the last digits to exclude direct personal reference.

The information is transmitted to Google servers and processed there. Transfers to Google LLC based in the USA are also possible.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser and truncated within Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Data collected through the use of Google (Universal) Analytics is stored for two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies on the device used, takes place only if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

Without your consent, Google (Universal) Analytics is not used during your visit. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please deactivate this service via the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google that ensures the protection of our visitors' data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/en/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Demographics reports

Google (Universal) Analytics uses the special "demographics" feature and can thereby create statistics that provide information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done by analysing advertising and information from third parties. This allows target groups for marketing activities to be identified. The collected data cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after being stored for two months.

Google Signals

As an extension to Google (Universal) Analytics, Google Signals can be used on this website to create cross-device reports. If you have activated personalised ads and linked your devices to your Google account, Google can analyse your usage behaviour across devices and create database models, including cross-device conversions, subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics under Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only statistics. If you wish to stop cross-device analysis, you can deactivate the "Personalised advertising" function in your Google account settings. To do so, follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/My-Ad-Center-Help/answer/12155764?hl=en

Further information on Google Signals can be found at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=en

UserIDs

As an extension to Google (Universal) Analytics, the "UserIDs" function can be used on this website. If you have consented to the use of Google (Universal) Analytics pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, created an account on this website and log in with this account on different devices, your activities, including conversions, can be analysed across devices.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European level of data protection.

10) Site functionalities

10.1 YouTube

This website uses plugins to display and play videos from the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland

Data may also be transmitted to: Google LLC, USA

When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the provider's servers at the latest when the video is played in order to load the content. Certain information, including your IP address, is transmitted to the provider in the process.

When the playback of embedded videos is started via the plugin, the provider also uses cookies to collect information about user behaviour, to compile playback statistics and to prevent abusive behaviour.

If you are logged into a user account with the provider during your visit to the site, your data will be assigned directly to your account when you click on a video. If you do not want this assignment to your account, you must log out before clicking the play button.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies to read information on the device used, only takes place if you have given us your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by deactivating this service via the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European level of data protection.

10.4 Google Sign-In

We provide a single sign-on function from the following provider on our website: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland

In addition to transferring data to the provider location mentioned above, data may also be transferred to: Google LLC, USA

If you have an account with the provider, you can register on our website using your account data to create a user account or to register.

When you visit this page, a direct connection between your browser and the provider's servers can be established via this login function, even if you do not have an account with the provider or are not logged into such an account. The provider thereby receives the information that you have visited our site. The information collected in this way (including your IP address, if applicable) is transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. However, the information is not used to identify you personally and is not passed on to third parties.

These data processing operations are carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a user-friendly and interactive online presence.

If you click the login button to register on our website with your provider account data, the provider transmits the general and publicly accessible information stored in your account (user ID, name, address, email address, age and gender) to us solely on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

We store and use the data transmitted by the provider to set up a user account with the necessary data (salutation, first name, last name, address data, country, email address, date of birth), provided you have released this information with the provider. Conversely, based on your consent, data (e.g. information about your browsing or purchasing behaviour) may be transferred by us to your account with the provider.

You can withdraw the consent granted at any time with effect for the future.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European level of data protection.

10.5 Google Maps

This website uses an online map service from the following provider: Google Maps (API) by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").

Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visually present geographical information. Using this service will show you our location and make any journey easier.

When you call up the subpages in which the Google Maps map is embedded, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google's servers and stored there; transmission to the servers of Google LLC in the USA may also occur. This happens regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile at Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them.

The collection, storage and evaluation take place pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR based on Google's legitimate interest in displaying personalised advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of Google websites. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right. If you are not consenting to the future transmission of your data to Google as part of the use of Google Maps, you also have the option to completely deactivate the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and therefore the map display on this website cannot then be used.

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR for the processing of your data as described above. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the option for making an objection described above.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, ensures compliance with the European level of data protection.

The service includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google and is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in determining the individual will of actions on the Internet and avoiding misuse and spam.

Further information on Google reCAPTCHA and Google's privacy policy can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=en.

11) Tools and miscellaneous

Cookie consent tool

This website uses a "cookie consent tool" to obtain valid user consents for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The cookie consent tool is displayed to users when they access the site as an interactive user interface on which consents can be given by ticking boxes for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications. In doing so, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user gives the corresponding consents by ticking the boxes. This ensures that such cookies are only placed on the respective user's device if consent has been given.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this context.

If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in lawful, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in the lawful design of our website.

Another legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. As the controller, we are legally obliged to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user consent.

If necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our visitors' data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Further information about the operator and the settings options of the cookie consent tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

12) Rights of the data subject

12.1 Applicable data protection law grants you the following rights (rights of access and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, with reference to the legal basis listed for the respective exercise requirements:

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED. HOWEVER, FURTHER PROCESSING IS RESERVED IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OUTWEIGH YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ASSERTION, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH MARKETING. YOU CAN EXERCISE THE OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES.

13) Duration of the storage of personal data

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the processing purpose and—if relevant—the statutory retention period (e.g. commercial and tax retention periods).

When processing personal data on the basis of explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, the data concerned will be stored until you revoke your consent.

If there are statutory retention periods for data processed within the scope of contractual or quasi-contractual obligations on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, these data will be routinely deleted after the retention periods have expired, provided they are no longer required for contract performance or initiation and/or we have no legitimate interest in further storage.

When processing personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, these data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

When processing personal data for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, these data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR.

Unless otherwise stated in the other information in this declaration regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
